Planet Comicon announced this weekend that advance tickets for Planet Comicon 2013 are now available for sale. This year Planet Comicon is Saturday, April 6, 2013 at 10:00 AM – 7 PM and Sunday, April 7, 2013 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM at downtown Kansas City’s giant Bartle Hall, a switch from the show’s home at Overland Park International Trade Center from past years. The relocation was the result of the growing numbers at the event in the past two years requiring an expansion to this larger venue.
Use the below link to purchase a single day or weekend pass. There is no limit to the quantities you may order.
Advance tickets will be sold until midnight on Sunday, March 17, 2013. After that time, they will only be available for sale at the event.
Weekend passes for adults are being sold at a discounted rate of $35.00. All other prices will be identical to on-site pricing.
Advance tickets are available for sale only through Paypal, which accepts all major credit cards and bank debits.
Advance tickets will also be made available soon through the event facility and certain area retailers, including Elite Comics, located at 11842 Quivira in Overland Park, KS.
Online advance tickets will be sold on a “will call” basis. Purchasers will not be sent a physical ticket, but will receive an e-mail confirmation just like you’d find with most online concert sales. There will be a staffed will call window all weekend at Bartle Hall for ticket collection. Optional early pickup locations may be announced prior to the show.
All ticket sales are final. Refunds will occur only in the event of the show’s unlikely cancellation. Show organizers advise that if your attendance is dependent upon a single guest, it may be wise to delay ticket purchases since a few of the hundreds of event guests cancel before the event date for unexpected reasons each year.
Tickets will also be available at the door.
Not all the guests for this year’s show have been announced. So far media guests include Adam Baldwin (Chuck, Firefly), Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca from Star Wars) and Lee Meriwether (TV’s Catwoman, the original Star Trek, and hundreds of other series). Creator guests, many whose work has been discussed here at borg.com over the past two years, include Jason Aaron (Wolverine, X-Men, Mighty Thor), Brian Azzarello (Wonder Woman), Elizabeth C. Bunce (A Curse Dark as Gold, StarCrossed, Liar’s Moon), Rob Davis (Deep Space Nine), Phil Hester (Bionic Man, Green Arrow), Damont Jordan, Matt Kindt (Mind Mgmt, Revolver), Jai Nitz (Green Hornet, Tron: Betrayal), Ande Parks (Green Arrow, Lone Ranger), Seth Peck (X-Men, Fear Itself), Cat Staggs (Smallville), Ethan Van Sciver (Green Lantern), and Freddie Williams II (Green Arrow, Robin, Captain Atom).
