Dr. Teeth and The Electric Mayhem get back together for SDCC 2020-at-home exclusive

Gentle Giant leads the way again with the next exclusive for the at-home edition of San Diego Comic-Con 2020 (since the actual event cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic).  It’s the first ever release of The Muppets’ Dr. Teeth and The Electric Mayhem in action figure form reunited on stage (cardboard) in The Muppets–Dr. Teeth and The Electric Mayhem Deluxe Box Set 2020 SDCC Exclusive.  You get Dr. Teeth on piano, Floyd Pepper on bass, Janice on guitar, Zoot on sax, and Animal on drums in deluxe show-stage packaging, a three-tiered window box with a protective fifth-panel door.

Last seen at the Outside Lands music festival in San Francisco in 2016, Dr. Teeth and The Electric Mayhem never seem to age.  But when are they going to put out a new album?  Never mind their ups and downs in the 1980s and their questionable venue choices in the 1970s, how many bands have stayed together with this many members and still sound as good as they did when they first formed in 1975?  Did you know Disney turned down the idea of having an audio-animatronic version of the band go on tour–something like the characters from Showbiz Pizza?

A cheery bit of fun that will remind you of their hit “Can You Picture That?” The Muppets–Dr. Teeth and The Electric Mayhem Deluxe Box Set 2020 SDCC Exclusive includes the band’s instruments, highlighted by a big drum set for Animal.

The Muppets–Dr. Teeth and The Electric Mayhem Deluxe Box Set 2020 SDCC Exclusive is limited to 3,000 pieces.  You can pre-order now at the Gentle Giant website, or call Elite Comics or your own local comic shop to reserve a set now from distributor Diamond Select Toys.  Many SDCC exclusives sell out quickly so act fast if interested.
