Every once in a while a toy comes along with some particularly unique insight on a piece of nostalgia. For us this time that’s the new Tony the Tiger 6-inch scale action figure from Jada Toys. Did we know we needed a toy from the mascot for Kellogg’s Frosted Flakes? No, but it sure looks GRRREAT! Tony the Tiger is now in 1:12 scale, highly detailed and harnessing his larger-than-life personality. (Hey, what will it be like when he enters the public domain some day? Imagine that movie). With dynamic poses that the marketing images really capture, you’re going to want to take a look at this. It’s no April Fools joke, it’s available now for pre-order here at Entertainment Earth.
He can be posed flexing his strength, pointing in encouragement, or giving an uplifting thumbs-up. The set includes multiple accessories to bring Tony’s energetic personality to life, including interchangeable hands, a Kellogg’s Frosted Flakes cereal box, a bowl of Kellogg’s Frosted Flakes with spoon, and a basketball with a super click spinning effect piece.
Just look at these preview photographs:
It’s pretty wacky and fun, but it sure makes you hear his voice… that of the late Thurl Ravenscroft, who also performed such works as “You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch” and narrated rides for Disneyland. The new Tony the Tiger figure is available now for pre-order here at Entertainment Earth.
