If you haven’t seen the video for the song, we’re posting it here because its depiction of a Muppet vs. Care Bear cage fighting death match can’t be beat. That’s right, a Muppet (actually a Muppet lookalike) and a Care Bear. And a haunting girl in a hood with the secret weapon. That’s just… neat.
And Lou Diamond Phillips? A pretty brave role–playing the villain in a definitely non-PC scene. But he seems to be relishing the part.

Pretty awesome, huh? Lead singer Dan Reynolds seems to be having a Michael Stipe-inspired moment with that bass drum. It’s no wonder the band was inspired by bands from The Cars to The Proclaimers, and you may or may not see one of Reynolds’ favorite songwriters–Paul Simon– in the post-apocalyptic-themed lyrics.
We trust no actual stuffed animals were harmed in the making of this video.
