A galaxy of ships is getting even bigger. Hero Collector’s famous collection of model ships of the Star Trek line continues with the launch of three new ships from Star Trek: Discovery. The U.S.S. Discovery-A (Refit), Section 31 Deimos-Class and Cleveland Booker’s ship will ready fans for the show’s fourth season now getting underway. These ships continue to fill in the giant Star Trek: Universe collection, which most recently showcased starships from Season 1 of Star Trek: Picard.

For those who don’t already have one more several Eaglemoss/Hero Collector ships: each ship comes with a magazine that includes a detailed profile of the ship, behind-the-scenes information about its creation, original sketches, and artist/designer interviews.
As for the ships themselves, they are best-in-class quality. Hero Collector promises its Star Trek: Universe Collection are as screen-accurate as possible, working directly with Viacom/CBS to ensure quality reproductions. These aren’t plastic, but die-cast metal and
high-quality resin, and all are hand-painted. Better yet they are produced at the same scale as the previous ships of the Star Trek: Discovery Collection to allow collectors to maintain collection compatibility. All include a base and a stand for easy display.
Here’s what Star Trek Discovery fans can look forward to:
- U.S.S Discovery-A (Refit): The U.S.S. Discovery NCC-1031 underwent an extensive refit at Federation headquarters following the ship’s sudden and violent arrival in the 32nd century. It was upgraded with futuristic technology and recommissioned as the U.S.S. Discovery NCC-1031-A.
- Section 31 Deimos-Class: The covert ops organization Section 31 secretly developed and deployed a number of stealth ships, with the Deimos-Class serving as mothership. It’s actually based on a Federation design for a smaller intel science destroyer and was extended to a length of nearly 900 meters. The Deimos also boasts swarms of autonomous drone-fighters stored in the saucer “wings” on either side of its central spine.
- Cleveland Booker’s Ship: Book’s small scout ship is equipped with a cloaking device, subspace communications system, and several faster-than-light propulsion systems. Most impressively, the ship’s “morph” capability enables it to reassemble into different configurations… even mid-flight.
