
By its definition, the Apocalypse isn’t a pretty thing. And when it comes to movies, unless it’s in the realm of sci-fi futurism, news of the next post-apocalyptic or “dystopian” series or big-screen flick usually means we’re in for an ugly, bleak experience. We now have trailers for two post-apocalyptic action genre productions heading your way in 2024. From Brazil’s annual Comic Con eXPerience, we have the first trailer for Fallout, the video game tie-in streaming series from Christopher Nolan sib Jonathan Nolan. It stars Star Trek: Prodigy‘s Ella Purnell, Walton Goggins, and Kyle MacLachlan.
And from Australian filmmaker George Miller, we have the first look at Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga–his prequel to Mad Max: Fury Road. That film co-starred Charlize Theron as the tough cyborg woman, and now her younger incarnation will be played by Anya Taylor-Joy, with Aussie actor Chris Hemsworth co-starring.

Look for Fallout episodes on Prime Video beginning April 12, 2024. Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga will be in theaters only at first, and it has no release date yet.
