Tales of Enlightenment–A collection of Star Wars stories of the High Republic

If you’re a fan of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story you may recall that Jedha was the planet where Jyn Erso and her friends stole the plans to the Death Star.  One hundred and fifty years before that, Jedha was a planet of peace in the High Republic of the expanded Star Wars canon.   A hardcover illustrated collection of six Star Wars: The High Republic stories from the pages of Star Wars Insider written by writer George Mann are being collected in a new volume next month: Star Wars: The High Republic–Tales of Enlightenment, available for pre-order now here at Amazon. Featuring an all-new story by Mann, the “Enlightenment” in the title isn’t quite what you might think.  Check out a preview of the book below.

Star Wars: The High Republic–Tales of Enlightenment (on sale March 19 in the UK) journeys back to a time of limitless promise and grand opportunity, as Jedi and Pathfinder teams look to discover hyperlanes to open up new trade routes as the Republic expands into the Outer Rim.  However, danger lurks in every corner of the galaxy… On the moon of Jedha stands Enlightenment, a bar located in the heart of the Holy City.

This collection contains five short stories from the pages of Star Wars Insider, all told from the perspective of patrons and visitors to the Enlightenment bar (think Tales from the Mos Eisley Cantina), and the new short story, “Missing Pieces.”

Additionally, new creators writing in the era of The High Republic discuss their contributions to the books and comic stories that expand upon an era of storytelling.  Interviewed writers include Zoraida Córdova, Tessa Gratton, Lydia Kang, and George Mann.

Star Wars: The High Republic–Tales of Enlightenment, a 96-page hardcover with illustrations, is available for pre-order now here at Amazon.  Look for it in stores in the U.S. April 2, 2024, and March 19, 2024, in the UK here.
