The Radleys–Lewis and Macdonald star in fall “vampire family” flick

Teenagers are the focus once again in the next British horror movie, The Radleys Unlikely monster movie stars Damian Lewis and Kelly Macdonald play vampires, parents of a boy and girl.  Only this is a young adult drama, and the kids, as in October Faction, don’t know their folks–and they–are vampires, because the parents wanted to lead a quiet, normal life.  When their daughter is attacked in the woods, it awakens something inside her and she kills the attacker.  As the secret is finally shared, dad brings in his twin brother as the “cleaner” to make everything okay.  So that’s Lewis in a dual role as good brother and really bad brother.

With gore and violence that looks on par with Blumhouse’s Abigail, this flick from Torchwood and His Dark Materials director Euros Lyn might be a good follow-up to Five Nights at Freddy’s.  The only problem is absurdly it hits theaters two weeks after Halloween (?).  Here’s the trailer for The Radleys:

The cast also includes Loki’s Sophia Di Martino and The Last of the Mohicans’ Steven Waddington as the strangely named character Mark Felt (the name of American history’s infamous 1970s FBI director and Woodward and Bernstein Nixon White House source Deep Throat).

The Radleys arrives in theaters in the U.S. November 14, 2024.  It’s Rated R.
