Documentarian Morgan Neville is bringing a new twist to the LEGO movies. Next month Pharrell Williams is getting his own autobiographical movie, told via the animated LEGOs we’ve seen in successful theatrical hits like The LEGO Movie and The LEGO Batman Movie. Piece by Piece will be told in the first person, and like Spider-Man: Into the Spider-verse, it feels like he is taking moviegoers along to experience his journey firsthand.
The movie will feature appearance in brick form from real-life players like Gwen Stefani, Snoop Dogg, Kendrick Lamar, Busta Rimes, Jaz-Z, Justin Timberlake, and Daft Punk. Take a look at this very happy trailer for Piece by Piece:
It’s for kids of all ages and fans of Williams and his music. From Focus Features, the next LEGO movie Piece by Piece opens in theaters October 11, 2024.
