So your team didn’t make the playoffs, but it’s the month for Halloween movies, so you look to see what’s coming. And, oops, the one that is exactly what you want to watch isn’t in theaters until… December?!? Bah. That’s the case with Get Away, a play on “getaway” as in family getaway, the next comedy horror flick from comedy master (and comedy meister) Nick Frost, one-half of the duo that gave us some of the best comedies ever via the Cornetto Trilogy (plus great turns in both Attack the Block and Doctor Who). After Truth Seekers, count us in for anything from the mind of Nick Frost.
Get Away takes every creepy British murder show and blends it with bad vacations and all those folk horror tropes from the likes of The Wicker Man, Midsommar, and Lute. It co-stars Irish comedienne Aisling Bea (Doctor Who, This Way Up) and is helmed by Dutch director Steffan Haars.

But UGH! Why a Christmas release instead of a Halloween release?
Look for Get Away in theaters December 6, 2024.
