40 years of The Last Starfighter–Newly restored 4K limited edition available for pre-order

Greetings, Starfighter!   You have been recruited by the Star League to defend the frontier against Xur and the Ko-Dan armada.

Are you ready?

Thanks to Arrow Video you can experience the 1984 sci-fi classic The Last Starfighter as you’ve never seen it before.  Newly restored from a 4K scan of the original negative and featuring a 4.1 mix originally created for the film’s 70mm release, The Last Starfighter arrives loaded with exclusive and archival bonus features.

The film is one of the most beloved movies from the 1980s, a coming of age sci-fi film with action, humor, and heart.  Directed by Nick Castle (also writer of Escape from New York and the actor behind the Michael Myers mask in the original Halloween), The Last Starfighter is the story of Alex Rogan (played by Lance Guest), stuck in a trailer park just waiting for something to take him away.  He finds the answer in an arcade game, which beckons a slick traveler named Centauri, played by The Music Man star Robert Preston.

Check out the huge list of features from the biggest edition of the beloved film that turns 40 next year:

The Last Starfighter in 4K is available for pre-order now here at the Arrow Video website.  It’s scheduled to ship in May.
