Following up on its View-Master-style earlier trailer, Paramount+ is bringing Strange New Worlds Season 3 this summer with an extra dose of fun. It looks like Star Trek is leaning into the good instead of the villains, which will be a nice change. Returning to the Enterprise are Anson Mount’s Captain Pike, Pike’s hair, Una actor Rebecca Romijn, Science Officer Spock actor Ethan Peck, Babs Olusanmokun as Dr. M’Benga, Jess Bush as Christine Chapel, Celia Rose Gooding as Uhura, and Paul Wesley as Kirk, along with Christina Chong as La’an, Carol Kane as Pelia, Melanie Scrofano as Captain Batel, and our favorite: Melissa Navia’s pilot Ortegas, who is all things Star Trek we love in one package.
We can’t wait. Check out the latest trailer for Season 3 of Strange New Worlds:
And in case you missed it, the earlier trailer:
How can we have any stakes for all these characters when we know they are going to be around the next 10 years, and we specifically know Pike’s own dark fate? Paramount figured out how to make it work, with plenty of humor. But it’s fair to say nobody wants to get Pike back to his 1960s TV beginnings–maybe it’s time to change the future?
Look for new episodes of Strange New Worlds, streaming on Paramount+ Thursdays beginning July 17, 2025. The finale is slated for September 11, 2025. Season 4 is already in production.
