Jason Momoa leads an impressive cast in a new nine episode Apple TV+ mini-series called Chief of War. Momoa plays Ka’iana, the first Hawaiian chief to venture outside of the Hawaiian islands, a historical figure who initially supported King Kamehameha but then rebelled against him during the king’s conquest of Oahu, siding with Oahu’s ruler. With the vibe of a Hawaiian Braveheart, Momoa appears well cast, along with familiar genre favorites including Temuera Morrison (The Book of Boba Fett), Cliff Curtis (Star Trek), and Luciane Buchanan (Night Agent).
