What inspired you this year to be a hero?

At the end of every year here at borg, we endorse animal charities. Why? They are the most overlooked category in need of help each year. It’s worse as more people return dogs and cats to city kennels–and not all shelters are no-kill shelters. So we are endorsing and hoping you’ll support the worthy groups below that try to help those who can’t help themselves. Please help give them a chance.

You don’t need superpowers to change the world.

You can change the world one dollar at a time. And it may even help your own pocketbook if you make charitable contributions by the end of the month for your next tax filing. Also, consider the wildlife and strays in your neighborhood and yard and put out a heated water bowl (available here at Amazon and pet stores) to help thirsty critters get through the winter, and consider a cat shelter for your yard (find instructions here).
