If you missed out on either The LEGO Movie or The LEGO Batman Movie, it’s time to go find out what you missed. Everything is awesome in both of those movies, and if you’re a fan of all the previous video games, direct-to-video, and TV iterations of animated LEGO characters then you will be pleased with the big-screen versions–great world-building (literally), characters, laugh-out-loud humor, and songs make for great fun for all ages. This month fans of LEGO Batman will be happy to see the release of the fourth LEGO Batman in the video game realm, via LEGO Batman: Legend of the Dark Knight, a game that pulls from all versions of the Caped Crusader from comic books to classic movies to deliver a big game experience. Backed by your favorite Seal song, the new trailer for the game is practically a movie preview. The game is a third-person action-adventure, with character skins reflecting some fan-favorite versions of the superheroes and supervillains from days gone by, including Michelle Pfeiffer’s Catwoman and Danny DeVito’s Penguin from the film Batman Returns, Heath Ledger’s Joker from The Dark Knight, and Jeffrey Wright’s Jim Gordon from The Batman.
Play as LEGO versions of Batman, Commissioner Gordon, Batgirl, Nightwing, Robin, Catwoman, and Talia al Ghul. Get ready to play and check out this trailer for LEGO Batman: Legend of the Dark Knight:
LEGO Batman: Legend of the Dark Knight is scheduled for release May 22, 2026, on PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S, with a Nintendo Switch 2 edition coming later.
