For fans of Dungeons & Dragons the new year begins with the Wizards of the Coast release of The Deck of Many Things, the updated classic Tarot Card-type cards, along with The Book of Many Things and a guide to the cards, all in one attractive boxed set. We previewed the cards here for borg readers in October, and you can order them now from the Dungeons & Dragons Store here at Amazon. The deck includes the original 22 (and subset of 13) cards from the D&D historical deck variations going back to 1976. It adds to those 44 more cards, each dazzlingly designed to add some magical spark to your game. As for quality, the cards are gorgeous, with gilded edges and gold effects on the surface. They can be kept in a three-part tray housed in an included snazzy box, a box that looks good with your collection of adventure tie-in dice boxes and trays.
Along with the deck is the new Dungeons & Dragons Coloring Book, available here at Amazon, a fun way to revisit recurring characters, monsters, and more from the 5th Edition. Take a look inside in our preview for borg readers below.

Above is a familiar roving band of adventurers. You’ll find familiar named characters, too, like Minsc and Boo.
At left is the powerful archmage Tasha.
Altogether you get 80 pages of illustrations to color. Don’t forget to order a set of colored pencils, too.
The Deck of Many Things, in its physical or digital edition, will be an exciting alternative for your gaming group in a year that saw the releases of Keys from the Golden Vault (reviewed here), Bigby Presents: Glory of the Giants (reviewed here) and Phandelver and Below: The Shattered Obelisk (reviewed here), The Practically Complete Guide to Dragons (reviewed here), and Planescape: Adventures in the Multiverse–Return to Sigil (reviewed here).
Bookmark the Dungeons & Dragons Store here at Amazon and order The Deck of Many Things here and don’t forget the Dungeons & Dragons Coloring Book available here, from Wizards of the Coast and Ten Speed Press.
Keep coming back to borg all year long for reviews and previews of the latest RPGs!
