Abraham’s Boys — The summer of Dracula is here

Only a week after the announcement that Luc Besson is directing a new Dracula movie, it looks like July is going to be a month of dueling Dracula movies.  Stephen King’s writer son Joe Hill is behind the story of Abraham’s Boys: A Dracula Story, an early 20th century take on van Helsing.  It stars Bosch actor Titus Welliver as Abraham van Helsing, a man trying to protect his wife and sons from an arrival by the famous monster with the black cloak.  But this movie has all the vibes of 1960s British Gothic horror, complete with muted tones and a small cast.  Jocelin Donahue plays van Helsing’s wife Mina.
