Star of cult classic films Clueless, The Crush, Batman and Robin, and Blast from the Past, Alicia Silverstone will headline her own television series next year.  Silverstone announced yesterday that TV Land has ordered twelve episodes of the retro comedy-drama American Woman.  Silverstone will portray a single mother of two girls in show business, and the story will focus on Silverstone’s character as she searches out her independence in 1970s America with the help of her two best friends.
