Kylo Ren trailer

What?  Another trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens?

Isn’t it enough that every object in Target and WalMart have Star Wars tie-ins this weekend?  Maybe not.

Check out the latest trailer, featuring the new Darth Maul-inspired villain, Kylo Ren:

You know when it arrives.  No need to remind you, right?

Have you reserved your tickets yet?

It’s pretty crazy that tickets are on sale for a movie not being released for two entire months.  Along with the early ticket sales, Lucasfilm has released the final, full-length trailer for the biggest, most anticipated and unlikely movie ever to be made: Episode VII of the Star Wars saga, Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

And as we saw with the above official poster released for the film, still no clear picture of Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker, although we now have two clear views of Carrie Fisher reprising her role as Princess Leia–one with new hairdo in the poster and one apparently crying in the arms of Harrison Ford’s classic rogue scoundrel Han Solo in the trailer.

So check out this trailer and beware of spoilers and the Dark Side…

Batman v Superman

When it rains, it pours.

It’s was a heckuva weekend for movie fans.  First a new trailer dropped for Star Wars: The Force Awakens (we revealed it at borg.com here).  Then three more:  A second Fantastic Four trailer, the first full-length Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice trailer, and today, yet another Jurassic World trailer.

But see if you agree:  Not one of these three new previews really compares to the excitement of the Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer, or the time-bending fun of Arnold returning in Terminator: Genisys (shown here).

Zack Snyder, who we’d had hopes for after his unusual but interesting interpretation of the Watchmen graphic novel for the big screen, is just auguring in the DC Comics cinematic universe after the dismal Men of Steel and now this preview for an equally grim Batman and Superman.  Thankfully the best superheroes can be found not on the big screen but every single week with DC Entertainment’s superb TV productions: Arrow, The Flash, and Gotham.

Try on for size this first full-length trailer for Batman v Superman and see if you wouldn’t rather watch Brandon Routh as The Atom fighting some bad guys in Central City with Grant Gustin’s The Flash:

Star Wars VII X-wing pilot

Why go see it in theaters in front of one of the lackluster holiday offerings this season when you can watch it for free at home?  It’s the teaser trailer for Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens.  And it’s a short 88 seconds, with much of the teaser spent on slow pans and the logo roll.

It’s what we’ve been waiting for.   A look at Star Wars in the hands of Disney and J.J. Abrams.
