Set between the 1982 film and the sequel film, the new video game Blade Runner 2033: Labyrinth takes place after the events of the Blackout (an event from a 2017 short tie-in anime film) and asks: What does a Blade Runner do when there are no Replicants left to hunt? From Annapurna Interactive, the new game brings video games back to the Blade Runner franchise for the first time in 25 years. Players take the role of a Blade Runner, and the limited information released so far suggests a detective story similar to the Blade Runner RPG.
Here’s the trailer:
Blade Runner 2033: Labyrinth is from Annapurna Interactive. It’s expected to arrive next year or possibly 2025 for PC/Console/Steam, possibly PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
