Back in December here at borg we announced that director Tim Burton was bringing Michael Keaton back for a sequel to the 1988 supernatural hit comedy Beetlejuice. Then in February, Warner Bros. teased audiences with a poster and a full title, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice. And we saw a teaser trailer in March (here). Now in advance of Memorial Day weekend we have a bigger look at Michael Keaton as Old Ghost Beetlejuice, along with the returning Catherine O’Hara, plus Winona Ryder–still Goth after all these years.
Audiences get a closer look at Jenna Ortega (Wednesday) as Lydia’s daughter Astrid, plus Burn Gorman (The Offer), Willem Dafoe (Spider-verse), Justin Theroux (White House Plumbers), and Monica Bellucci (Spectre) as Beetlejuice’s wife. Is there any doubt with that title and the original’s prohibited catchphrase that a second sequel is already in the works? Check out this second trailer for Beetlejuice Beetlejuice:
Beetlejuice Beetlejuice is slated to arrive in theaters September 6, 2024.
