Way back in December here at borg we announced that director Tim Burton was bringing Michael Keaton back for a sequel to the 1988 supernatural hit comedy Beetlejuice. Then the release date was locked in at September 6, 2024, and that has not yet changed, but it has a new title: Beetlejuice Beetlejuice. Warner Bros. has released its first poster for the movie (check it out below). A teaser, it only confirms the release date and doesn’t mention whether it will be out in theaters only or released via a streaming service, too.
Along with Keeton, expect the return of Winona Ryder and Catherine O’Hara, but probably not Alec Baldwin or Geena Davis. New actors confirmed to be coming to the Beetlejuice-verse include Jenna Ortega (Wednesday), Willem Dafoe (Spider-verse), Burn Gorman (The Offer), Justin Theroux (White House Plumbers), and former “Bond girl” Monica Bellucci (Spectre) as the wife of the Keaton’s over-the-top “ghost with the most.”
Like many a movie, the teaser–the first look at the movie–reveals little:

Look for a trailer any day now here at borg. Like the poster says, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice is slated to arrive in theaters September 6, 2024.
