The Wild Robot–Final trailer arrives for DreamWorks’ latest animation

The animation looks great and the story–about a robot who crashes on an island, left to live with its wildlife–sounds good, too.  In particular the concept of a robot who can communicate with all the animals on the planet is a fascinating proposition.  This can’t be far off in the realm of future technology, and wouldn’t it be exciting to be around to witness it?  DreamWorks’ The Wild Robot looks to be a little bit like Tarzan meets Planet of the Apes… with a robot… sort of.

Check out the latest and final trailer for The Wild Robot, plus the three previous trailers below:

The story follows the journey of a robot—ROZZUM unit 7134, “Roz” for short, who is shipwrecked on an uninhabited island and must learn to adapt to the harsh surroundings, gradually building relationships with the animals on the island and becoming the adoptive parent of an orphaned gosling.

Voice actors include Lupita Nyong’o, Pedro Pascal, Catherine O’Hara, Bill Nighy, Stephanie Hsu, Kit Connor, Mark Hamill, and Ving Rhames.

Look for The Wild Robot in theaters September 27, 2024.
