On the heels of the epic second season of the live-action The Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power (reviewed here) comes the animated holiday release The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim. You can see a preview of the making of the movie below in our sneak peek at The Art of the Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim, available for pre-order now here at Amazon. Written and compiled by our friend Daniel Falconer, conceptual artist at the Academy Award-winning design studio Weta Workshop, the book shares the creation and design of the world of Middle-earth in director Kenji Kaimyama’s new entry in the cinematic world of J.R.R. Tolkien. Falconer is also known for creating the best movie books in the past 20 years–check out his Peter Jackson movie books here.

The book includes a foreword by director Kenji Kamiyama and introduction by producer and writer Philippa Boyens. It features commentary by the artists and filmmakers in a large-hardcover format with 256 pages and more than 1,500 images. According to Falconer, “After finishing work on the film itself, it was a great pleasure to get to celebrate the process with a book showcasing the amazing work of my creative colleagues and friends.”
