It’s been a decade since Amplitude Studios released Endless Legend, a fantasy, 4X strategy video game set on the fantasy world Auriga, a follow-up to the gamemaker’s earlier game Endless Space. Marking the 10th anniversary of the game, Titan Books has released a visual encyclopedia of the game, a guide to the peoples and species of Auriga, and a detailed look at its environments and challenges. For the game’s legion of fans, The Art of Endless Legend, available now here at Amazon, is a hardcover tribute to the game, filled with the artwork of the game in hundreds of photographs.

A giant, advanced sci-fi/fantasy extension of empire building games that began with Risk and Axis & Allies, Endless Legend merges building and maintaining a player’s domain with tactical combat strategy. All the fantasy creatures of this sci-fi world come to life in the pages of this book. The myth and magic infused into the environments can be seen in every image.

This is primarily an in-world guide to the components of the game. Interspersed with the-in-world storytelling are contributions from its France-based game creators, art director Corinne Billon and narrative director Jeff Spock. The book also includes some of its player-created characters.

This trove of game artwork includes previously unpublished artwork for the Kapaku and the Mykara.

Throughout the book you’ll find sections sharing inspirations behind some of the game’s creations in the words of its designers.

But the bulk of the book is its visuals. Fans can look forward to a gallery of images of key characters and settings.
A must for fans of the game, The Art of Endless Legend is available now here at Amazon.
