Revenge is a dish best served… wait, wait we know this one!

In the 2018 suspense/comedy/thriller A Simple Favor, Anna Kendrick played a mom named Stephanie Smothers, snubbed by the other kids’ parents at school functions until the ultimate cool mom shows up, Emily Nelson played by Blake Lively, who is practically doing an impression of husband Ryan Reynolds at his absolute worst of Deadpool obnoxiousness.  As fast friends, Emily asks Stephanie to pick up her son and then… she vanishes.  Stephanie then befriends Emily’s husband, played by Henry Golding, as the search starts for the missing Emily.  It turns out it’s all a twist on Gone Girl–Emily is really trying to frame her husband for her faked murder, but Stephanie foils her plan and Emily gets arrested instead.  Good stuff.

But a sequel?  Hey, that’s a good idea, too.  Emily is out of jail, so what’s next for Stephanie when revenge is on her mind?  Another Simple Favor comes direct to Prime Video next month.  Check out this preview:
