In a world where movie trailers are easy to fake, once in a while you watch on that makes you think that movie could only be made as part of a dare. In the case of the movie trailer for the zombie apocalypse movie Cold Storage, it looks a lot like some studio was required (for tax reasons or something) to dispose of all its practical special effects makeup in order to get more next quarter. Or something. But, hey, we’ll watch it because it stars Stranger Things star Joe Keery, pop culture icon Liam Neeson, and genre actor Georgina Campbell (His Dark Materials, Krypton, Death in Paradise, Electric Dreams). In the trailer Keery and Campbell look like the guys in Dude, Where’s My Car?

Body horror, goo and blood and guts and… you name it, it looks like it’s all in this movie. Even worse (or better?) is the marketing message that the movie comes from makers of Jurassic Park, Spider-Man, and Mission: Impossible (David Koepp) and Zombieland (Gavin Polone), which reminds me of the movie Solar Crisis advertising it was from the creators of Star Wars.

But also look at that cast list: It has I, Jack Wright’s Daniel Rigby, Van Der Valk’s Darrell D’Silva, Mystery Road’s Rob Collins, Scream’s Sosie Bacon (Kevin and Kyra’s daughter), even has a Redgrave–yes, Vanessa Redgrave is in the movie, too.

It’s probably funny. Here’s the trailer for Cold Storage:
Cold Storage has no release date yet, but is expected in 2026.
