For 700 years Star Trek’s United Federation of Planets brought together the galaxy with peace, stability, and the promise of mutual protection.  But at a meeting to bring in the last holdout, an unknown spark causes a catastrophe, wiping out nearly everyone.  In a twist on Star Trek: The Undiscovered Country, writers Jackson Lanzing and Collin Kelly and artist Adrián Bonilla introduce a cobbled together starship, a captain, an unlikely alien menace long thought gone… as an ally.  And their best idea is resurrecting James T. Kirk for his unique way of problem solving.
