The 2019 movie Ready or Not starred Samara Weaving with an all-star supporting cast (Andie MacDowell, Henry Czerny, Adam Brody, Melanie Scrofano, Kristian Bruun) as a new bride in an atmospheric, Gothic story that doubled as a dark comedy and horror-lite cautionary tale, a fun (recommended) flick about a wedding, about marriage, and marrying into a new family–the dark side of families, the skeletons in the closet.

The bride is back.  The “bride horror” sub-genre continues next spring as Weaving returns in Ready or Not 2: Here I Come.  From SearchLight Pictures, the sequel has an equally stellar supporting cast: Buffy Summers herself, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Marvel and Lisa Frankenstein’s Kathryn Newton, Frodo himself, Elijah Wood, Psych’s and Bates Motel’s Néstor Carbonell, plus Kevin Durand, David Cronenberg, Shawn Hatosy, Olivia Cheng, Varun Saranga, and Daniel Beirne.
