Meet favorite writers and artists at Planet Comicon Kansas City

Planet Comicon Kansas City has been one of the Midwest’s biggest comic book and pop culture conventions and that was no less so in 2014 when it became the largest attended event in the history of the Kansas City Convention Center.  And it’s only gotten bigger.  This year the event celebrates 27 years since its first show in 1999.  Writer and artist guests scheduled to attend include comic book writer Chris Claremont, artists Adam Kubert and Joe Staton, writer-artist Dan JurgensPatrick Gleason, Al Milgrom, and Jim Starlin, comic book cover artists Mark Bagley and Stanley “Artgerm” Lau, Derrick Chew, and John Tyler Christopher, author Kevin J. Anderson, artists Kerry Callen, Chris Bachalo, Megan Huang, Joëlle Jones, and Dustin Nguyen, and returning comic book writers and artists Freddie Williams II, Ande Parks, Phil Hester, Ant Lucia, Bryan Fyffe, Bryan Timmins, Megan Levens, Jason Aaron, Seth Peck, Don Rosa, Rob Davis, and Joe Corroney, author Elizabeth C. Bunce bringing boxed sets of her Myrtle Hardcastle Mystery series to the show, and Star Trek authors Kevin Dilmore and Dayton Ward.

Back again, the Elite Comics flight crew is planning its “Party on the Pillar” hoping for attendees to pick up some great deals on what Cons are all about–comics.  Of course some of the biggest film and TV celebrity names are also in the line-up for this year’s show–check that out in our post from yesterday here at borg.  There’s something for every fandom and genre, fanboy and fangirl at this year’s show.  It all takes place this weekend beginning today at Kansas City’s convention center at Bartle Hall, running March 27-29, 2026.

Check the Planet Comicon Kansas City website here for info about even more guests slated to attend, including several voice actors, cosplayers, and lots more.  Follow the website for late additions and cancellations.  Not all guests will be attending the event each day of the show, so check the website for details.  Tickets are still available for each day, including photo opportunities and autographs–celebrities charge for autographs but the vast majority of creator guests do not.

It’s almost here: Planet Comicon Kansas City is March 27, 28, and 29, 2026, in downtown Kansas City at the Kansas City Convention Center.
