Pitfall–the movie–is coming to theaters

As much as the name Pitfall should conjure for you an adventure movie starring Jack Black, that’s not what we’re talking about today.  After all, Black was the young actor in the original video game commercials, so who better to star in a movie based on the classic Activision Atari 2600 video game, right?  But until someone makes that obvious box office winner, an independent film is delivering a mash-up of The Most Dangerous Game and Friday the 13th, a horror survival film following a group of young people in the woods.  One of them falls into a man-made pitfall trap.  Someone doesn’t want them to leave the woods alive. Pitfall is directed by James Kondelik, with a script by Victor Rose.  It stars Richard Harmon (Continuum, Caprica, Bates Motel, The Flash, Final Destination: Bloodlines, The 100), Alexandra Essoe (The Last Stop in Yuma County, Midnight Mass, The Haunting of Bly Manor), Stephanie Izsak (The Flash, Blockbuster), Marshall Williams (The Ice Road, Glee), Jordan Claire Robbins (iZombie, The Umbrella Academy, 12 Monkeys), Matt Hamilton (Turner & Hooch, Legion, Arrow, Wild Cards, Continuum), Brenna Llewellyn (Final Destination: Bloodlines), and Randy Couture (The Expendables) as the Hunter.

“If the fall doesn’t kill you, he will.”
