Despite being the gazillionth sci-fi movie to use David Bowie’s Space Oddity as the song for its trailer, Illumination Entertainment’s next animated movie seems like it may just capture all the sci-fi/romance/comedy vibes it promises. Directed by a team including Eric Guillon, Claire Dodgson, and Jonathan del Val, Not Alone is a double entendre for two single people finding each other and a trio of alien beings trying to take E.T.’s advice and go home. Timothée Chalamet and Selena Gomez provide the voices for the space center workers who star in the show. Other familiar voices include Lamorne Morris, Allison Janney, Brett Goldstein, Rob Brydon, Jamie Demetriou, and Diane Morgan.

You have quite a wait for this one. Not Alone isn’t expected to arrive in theaters until April 16, 2027.
