Initially called The Continuing Adventures of Cliff Booth, then shortened to The Adventures of Cliff Booth–now we have the final title for the successor to Quentin Tarantino’s alternate history fantasy Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood (we discussed the movie here and the novel here). It’s The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth, and you can now pre-order the pulp crime novel penned by Tarantino here at Amazon–only Tarantino stuck with the title The Adventures of Cliff Booth for the novel. Which makes sense, since Tarantino handed director David Fincher his giant story of Booth’s life and asked him to whittle it all down into a movie. Now we have the first full trailer, too.
What you’ll notice first is Fincher quickly re-creating one of those 1970s dudes we all knew back then–pine air freshener, cool car, that hair and those glasses. Then it’s that supporting cast: Elizabeth Debicki, Carla Gugino, Emily Alyn Lind, and Hannah Christine Shetler, plus Timothy Olyphant, Scott Caan, Holt McCallany, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, and most intriguing of all, Peter Weller as Cliff’s dad. It’s about as good as that off-the-wall cast in Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood.

The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth arrives in theaters in IMAX in time for Thanksgiving, premiering the weekend beginning November 25, 2026, coming to Netflix in time for Christmas, streaming December 23, 2026.
