In the days of cable TV, with late night horror feature time slots, Christmas at the Kringles would surely be one of those movies you’d find yourself glued to at 2 a.m. Its trailer has the narrator and the vibe of a preview for any D-movie horror flick in the 1970s or 1980s. The rare horror movie actually released for the Halloween season, it’s that mash-up of genres you either love or hate. It stars the singular Ron Livingston–Office Space is forever a classic, so any excuse to see Livingston again is a good one, and he appears to bring that similar, put-upon Everyman. He and his wife, played by Chuck’s Rachel Bilson, move next door to an unusual couple carrying the yuletide spirit into dark territory. A holiday-horror-comedy from horror writer Zack Inbrogno and slasher flick director Kevin Lewis, this one co-stars Rob Riggle and Beverly D’Angelo, Reno 911’s Thomas Lennon, MAD TV’s Arden Myren, and Scrubs and Kick-Ass 2 co-star Donald Faison.

The entire movie may very well be in the trailer–but it’s a solid trailer if this genre mash-up is for you. File this next to Violent Night. Check out Christmas at the Kringles:
Christmas at the Kringles comes to theaters October 30, 2026.
