The Prisoner–Second crowd-funded action figure wave is coming

Nearly two years ago, toymaker Wandering Planet Toys launched the first ever wave of licensed action figures based on ITV’s The Prisoner, that original psychedelic, psychological British spy trip from the late 1960s.  The series is still streaming on various platforms, and proof of its diehard fandom can be seen in WPT crowdfunding a second wave of action figures that already surpassed its benchmark.  And “2” is the theme–as the next wave features five figures represent likenesses of actors playing Number Two characters: Leo McKern, Mary Morris, Derren Nesbitt, and Peter Wyngarde (with two outfit options).  My favorite thing about this launch is you can still pick up figures from Wave 1.

Wave 2 has even more figures.  Who made the cut this round?

How about more Number Six figures?  There’s Patrick McGoohan as he looked in the episode “The General,” with his jacket from “Chimes of Big Ben,” and a re-issue of the main figure from Wave 1, but with a different card back.

How about The Butler, as played by Angelo Muscat?  Plus there’s Annette Andre’s Number 50 from the episode “It’s Your Funeral,” Mark Eden’s Number 100, Barbara Yu Ling’s Tax Driver from “Arrival.”

The second Wyngarde Number Two and the Number 100 are available in two-pack sets.  Add-Ons returning from Wave 1 include an inflatable Rover, Number Six from “The Arrival,” Number Six from “Checkmate,” and both two-packs from Wave 1.

As the sign says: Be seeing you.
