What?  They still make slot cars?

Back in the 1970s we were fans of the Smokey and the Bandit Trans Am and highway patrol cars in our slot car race sets.  Auto World now has plenty of great movie and TV tie-ins in their slot car sets.  They even offer a Smokey and the Bandit set:

But who wouldn’t want to add Doc Brown’s famous time machine into the mix?  Auto World is releasing a new Back to the Future set for the first time, complete with 20 feet of track, 2 1:64 scale X-Traction slot cars: the DeLorean and Biff’s 1946 Ford.  It even has a “time loop,” two high performance controllers & power pack and Clock Tower building & road signs.
