We’ve been attending movie distributor GKIDS′ annual festival of Studio Ghibli films for years now, but this year’s line-up is even bigger than ever, offering all ten of Hayao Miyazaki’s iconic masterpieces, along with the American premiere of Spirited Away: Live on Stage (we previewed it here). Each film will have an exclusive selection from the documentary series 10 Years with Hayao Miyazaki so audiences can step behind the scenes with arguably the greatest filmmaker and visual storyteller of all time.
To get you ready for a great year of animated film, Thibaud Villanova, chef and author of one of our favorite cookbooks, Assassin’s Creed Culinary Codex (reviewed here), has prepared The Unofficial Ghibli Cookbook, filled with 40 recipes inspired by Studio Ghibli films like My Neighbour Totoro, Spirited Away, and Princess Mononoke. Take a look inside The Unofficial Ghibli Cookbook:
First, check the GKIDS Studio Ghibli Fest website here to learn more about the festival and order advance tickets. Here’s a trailer for the festival:

If Thibaud’s Assassin’s Creed Culinary Codex is any indication, you can look forward to some fantastic international cuisine ahead.
