Spoiler alert: Nick Fury survives this summer’s Secret Invasion series–at least that’s one takeaway from the first trailer for this fall’s coming MCU movie The Marvels. A lot is coming together in the next Marvel movie. Pulling together Brie Larson’s actual intergalactic Captain Marvel with her friend and co-pilot’s daughter Monica Rambeau from the movie Captain Marvel, played by Teyonah Parris in the series WandaVision, and Iman Vellani’s young superheroine from the series Ms. Marvel, the result looks like a different take on the multiverse-twisted Spider-Man: No Way Home. But without the multiverse, which seems to have been exhausted at this point.
Along with Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury is Goose the cat, or Flerken.
This movie looks to be more lighthearted than that last several Marvel movies. Check out this fun trailer for The Marvels:
The Big Bad is played by Doctor Who and Sherlock’s Zawe Ashton.
