We knew it would happen, we just didn’t know which story it was going to happen in. It could have been a return to a John Carpenter character from Escape from New York, The Thing, or Big Trouble in Little China. Instead TV viewers are going to see the long-waited screen team-up of screen icon Kurt Russell and son Wyatt Russell (Lodge 49, Overlord, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier) starring together in one of cinema’s oldest franchises.
The story of Monarch, the corporation in the movies Godzilla vs. Kong, Kong: Skull Island, Godzilla: King of the Monsters, and others, finds young Wyatt Russell playing an earlier Kurt Russell as U.S. Army officer Lee Shaw, the latest of Warner Bros.’ MonsterVerse movies. John Goodman resurrects his own character from Gojira’s past, too.
