The first big look at the next season of Doctor Who is here, and it looks fantastic.  BAFTA Award-winning actor Ncuti Gatwa is a natural who seems ready to take on the role of the Doctor and hit the ground running.  He didn’t miss a beat stepping into the Doctor’s shoes last year, regenerating from David Tennant into two Doctors, a new twist for the six decades of the series.  Less like Rose Tyler and practically a clone of the eager and bright-eyed companion Clara, Millie Gibson plays Ruby and in her first appearance she and Gatwa had an instant chemistry.

As a bonus, Russell T. Davies will return, writing an episode this season.  Keep an eye out for some great costumes and sets in this trailer for the new season of Doctor Who:

Doctor Who fans have some interesting things to look forward to in Year #61.  Look for the first episode of the year midnight May 11 in the UK on BBC, simulcast on May 10 in the U.S. on Disney+ at 6 p.m. Central.
