Vikings: Valhalla returns this summer for final season

It’s predecessor series made the #2 spot on our list of best series of the decade.  Truth is stranger than fiction, and although the series is a marriage of historical characters and legends, Vikings: Valhalla met the challenge–showrunner Jeb Stuart continued Michael Hirst’s Vikings series with a compelling story of the Viking people and how they spread across the known world.

The spirit of the legends survives as Stuart weaves in Erik the Red’s son Leif Eriksson.  The second season built the conflict intertwined with exploration from Constantinople to Greenland, and Ericksson seeks the far reaches of the known world.  What will he see in the third season?  Sam Corlett, Frida Gustavsson, and Leo Suter reveal the end of the journey for their characters Leif, Freydis, and Herald.

Catch both seasons 1 and 2–16 episodes–of Vikings: Valhalla streaming now on Netflix.  The next and final chapter, Season 3 arrives July 11, 2024 on Netflix.
