How many actors can you rely on to choose good movies to work on and deliver for their audience every time?  Count Aussie actress Samara Weaving on that list.  She hasn’t disappointed yet, whether as the star bride of Ready or Not, Scarlett in Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins, the title character of The Babysitter, or as a breath of fresh air in Ash vs. Evil Dead, Scream VI, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, Mystery Road, or Picnic at Hanging Rock.  She’s just got it.  In the action movie Eenie Meanie, coming to Hulu this month, she plays Edie, a thief and getaway driver who can’t get away from her doting boyfriend, no matter how hard she tries.

The trailer has the makings of the next Logan Lucky, Baby Driver, Duster, or maybe even Fast & Furious.  Happily it looks nothing like The Getaway (either version).  Take a look at this great high octane trailer for Eenie Meanie:

That’s a great trailer, especially since it’s backed by “Crazy on You” by Heart.

The supporting cast looks good, with Andy Garcia, Steve Zahn, Marshawn Lynch, Karl Glusman, and Randall Park, written and directed by the writer of School of Rock.  It was filmed in Ohio earlier this year, released by 20th Century Studios.  Look for Eenie Meanie streaming on Hulu beginning August 22, 2025.
