Strange New Worlds — New teaser lands for the final season

There’s not enough time.  Certainly not enough to bridge the gap between Strange New Worlds and the original Star Trek in only one season.  Returning to the Enterprise for one final season are Anson Mount’s Captain Pike, Una actor Rebecca Romijn, Science Officer Spock actor Ethan Peck, Babs Olusanmokun as Dr. M’Benga, Jess Bush as Christine Chapel, Celia Rose Gooding as Uhura, and Paul Wesley as Kirk, along with Christina Chong as La’an, Carol Kane as Pelia, and Martin Quinn as Mr. Scott.  And we always point out that the best of the bunch is the pilot: Melissa Navia’s Ortegas, who is all things Star Trek we love in one package.  Along with the trailer comes some screencaps from the coming season.

Check out this new trailer for Season 4, the final season, of Strange New Worlds:

A future episode of Strange New Worlds, expected as part of Season 4 sometime in 2026, will feature the crew of the Enterprise under Captain Christopher Pike–in Muppet form.  The episode follows other experimental episodes like its musical episode and its crossover with the animated series Lower Decks, which unveiled its key cast as animated characters in a final scene.  Here’s that trailer, in case you missed it:

The big question?  Will any of the actors get to appear onscreen with the Muppets, which would catch them up with the classic February 1980 episode of The Muppet Show featuring Mark Hamill, Peter Mayhew, and Anthony Daniels?  Was that really 45 years ago?

And here’s another earlier trailer:

How can we have any stakes for all these characters when we know they are going to be around the next 10 years, and we specifically know Pike’s own dark fate?  Paramount figured out how to make it work, with plenty of humor.

Look for new episodes beginning July 23, 2026, on Strange New Worlds, streaming on Paramount+.
