Kay Medaglia’s forthcoming book Comic Therapy: Meditations for Reflection (available for pre-order now here at Amazon) is a breath of fresh air, an easy guide to taking positive forward action in times of struggle and difficulty. Growing out of the author’s own struggles beginning with the lockdown during the COVID pandemic, the book is a thoughtful journey for you or a friend who needs a budge into looking at the bright side while wading through dark times. Using four-panel comic strip artwork, Medaglia mixes small moments of joy with daily life oddities and frustrations to provide readers with an excuse to give yourself a break every day. Professions across the spectrum have introduced wellness seminars as a necessary part of work-life balance, and this kind of book reflects that kind of self-reflection and mindfulness, all in a lighthearted way.
