There’s not enough time. Certainly not enough to bridge the gap between Strange New Worlds and the original Star Trek in only one season. Returning to the Enterprise for one final season are Anson Mount’s Captain Pike, Una actor Rebecca Romijn, Science Officer Spock actor Ethan Peck, Babs Olusanmokun as Dr. M’Benga, Jess Bush as Christine Chapel, Celia Rose Gooding as Uhura, and Paul Wesley as Kirk, along with Christina Chong as La’an, Carol Kane as Pelia, and Martin Quinn as Mr. Scott. And we always point out that the best of the bunch is the pilot: Melissa Navia’s Ortegas, who is all things Star Trek we love in one package.

The episode follows other experimental episodes like its musical episode and its crossover with the animated series Lower Decks, which unveiled its key cast as animated characters in a final scene. Here’s that trailer, in case you missed it:
The big question? Will any of the actors get to appear onscreen with the Muppets?

Look for new episodes beginning July 23, 2026, on Strange New Worlds, streaming on Paramount+.
