Gal Gadot stars in hostage thriller The Runner

In the spirit of movies making good use of that familiar technology the telephone, which brought us Cellular, Phone Booth, and thriller movies going way back to Sorry, Wrong Number, comes Gal Gadot in The Runner. Gadot stars as a lawyer whose boy is abducted and to get him back she must kill her client, about to testify against a crime boss. She must do it in an hour, making it a ticking clock story even closer to Nick of Time, which featured Johnny Depp as a father forced to kill a politician to save his kidnapped son. It’s also one of those movies where the costume designer pretty much got one outfit to work on. The movie co-stars Damian Lewis and it’s directed by Kevin Macdonald (State of Play) and written by Mark Gibson (Snow Dogs).
