The groundbreaking series continues. Archie Comics’ imprint Archie Horror is releasing the next issue of The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina in comic book stores everywhere tomorrow. “Familiars” is a great perfect jumping-on point for new, mature readers (for sex, violence, gore, hangings, occult, etc.) and fans of the horror genre.
Every witch needs a familiar, and through the ages, Salem has faithfully fulfilled his duties to Sabrina. This chapter lifts back the cloak of time to reveal the dark history of how Salem (the cat “familiar”) came to be and serve his master.
The ongoing series continues with script by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, artwork by Robert Hack and Jack Morelli, and that great pulp, retro-style cover by Robert Hack. A variant cover is also available, by artist Andrew Pepoy.
If you missed out on Issue #5, look for a reprint available in stores tomorrow, too.
