A parade of previews for San Diego Comic-Con exclusives begins

Less than one month away, San Diego Comic-Con returns to the San Diego Convention Center full of writers, artists, publishers, TV and movie studios, and vendors with representation from every major property and franchise.   Legos, Sideshow, Super 7, Mattel, Funko, Mondo, and more.  Already distributors have begun previewing convention exclusives–those sought-after rare collectibles usually available only at the show, but sometimes available afterward in small quantities if all of the inventory from the show isn’t pre-ordered or purchased on-site.

We think it’s time to share some of the best exclusives scheduled to be available at San Diego Comic-Con this year for those of you who are attending or have friends attending that can pick up items for you.  Just can’t decide what to spend your money on?  Check out the SDCC 2018 website for even more information from the vendors and more collectibles.  There’s too much for anyone to be able to see everything at the big Con, so we’ve listed booth numbers so you can make sure you don’t miss out on those toys, posters, and comic books that you simply must have.

These aren’t all the exclusives you’ll find at SDCC 2018–we’ve selected a sampling of some of the best items from popular vendors who have previewed their items with still three weeks until the convention.

Now on to the exclusives.

Gentle Giant is releasing a variety of exclusive mini-busts, plus this large-scale version of the classic Kenner Star Wars action figure.  You’ve seen Boba Fett from Gentle Giant here before–the original was borg.com‘s favorite toy of 2012 and one of the best action figure re-creations we’ve seen.

This exclusive provides one more chance to get this figure, this time reflecting original packaging from Return of the Jedi (sorry, no firing backpack).

From Alex Ross Art (Booth #2415) pick up limited prints and comics, including these new variant covers for Amazing Spider-man, Issue #1:

and Batman, Issue #50:

Entertainment Earth (Booth #2343) has many exclusives (keep coming back to borg.com and we’ll reveal more of their exclusives later), but check out this great Power Rangers in Space Legacy Psycho Silver Ranger:

It’s crazy what can resurface from the past–Tiki mugs are bigger now than ever before.  The best interpretations we have seen?  This set of three based on the Big “G” Cereal Monsters, Count Chocula, Boo Berry, and borg.com Hall of Famer Franken-berry:

How about a set of Lin-Manuel Miranda and his dog Tobi Pin Mates?

Mondo, the poster company, has this new limited poster by Matt Taylor featuring the Marvel Cinematic Universe.  The posters are already sold out (!), so you’ll need to hunt it down on eBay.  But you’ll also see it on the cover of the free SDCC 2018 souvenir book:

Cartoon Network will be all over the convention with products, including Steven Universe items, like a sketchbook from Insight Editions (Booth #3721) and a variety of plush toys from UCC (Booth #5610).  Along with its limited poster, Mondo (Booth #435) has a treat for Adventure Time fans, an exclusive vinyl record featuring tracks “Friends Don’t Fightand “Manlorette Party.”  The vinyl cover art work is by JJ Harrison:

Also, Dark Horse (Booth #2615) has an Adventure Time coloring book…

…and more Adventure Time can be found from BOOM! (Booth #2229) with three covers of Issue #1 of the Beginning of The End mini-series:

Bluefin (Booth #401) has Bandai Spirits Hobby’s beautiful 1/72 Scale Star Wars B-Wing Star Fighter Limited Edition Model Kit:

Hallmark items at the Pop-Minded booth (#1505), including this set of ornaments from Star Trek: The Animated Series, featuring Lieutenant Arex and Lieutenant M’Ress:

Super 7 (Booth #4945) is set to have a great booth this year featuring Hordak’s Lair.  We think these three figures: She-Ra, Hordak, and laughing Prince Adam, will be very popular:

Funko is back, this time with even more toys, including these two new Pop! bobbleheads, Pepé Le Pew and Captain Caveman:

Here are the collectibles coming to SDCC 2018 from Toynk at three booths:

Finally, the new annual Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide will be available, too, and sold at the show this year as with past years:
