Cartoonist/writer Gene Luen Yang is taking readers to the Old West this summer in the pages of DC Comics’ Batman/Superman series. DC’s multiverse will collide as the Batman from one reality meets the Superman from another. They will team-up with their Earth-0 counterparts to try to thwart the efforts of the villain of the series, Auteur.io. Classic 1930s an 1940s movies tie-in to the villain’s schemes, and the series promises Golden Age-inspired superheroes taking on robots, supporting characters like you haven’t seen them before, and more.
To thwart the apocalypse cascading across multiple realities, Batman and Superman must join forces with their counterparts and sojourn to strange lands! The World of the Knight and the World of Tomorrow are not the only two creations crafted by the sinister Auteur.io — and this nefarious cybernetic despot is hell-bent on at last crafting his own twisted notion of utopia. Join a list of all-star artists as we tour through the ARCHIVE OF WORLDS!
Artists Kyle Hotz, Steve Lieber, Emanuela Lupacchino, and Darick Robertson all will be contributing interior artwork for this issue, which continues Yang’s current arc, only just begun. Ivan Reis drew the Western cover, with an alternate cover by Greg Capullo.
It’s a good time to jump into a new story in the pages of DC Comics. Add the Batman/Superman series to your pull list at Elite Comics or your local comic shop now. This issue is slated for arrival in June.
