Seventh Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie arrives this summer

The Turtles are back.  The first three Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movies were live action, followed by an animated movie, and two other live-action movies.  And don’t forget several animated series.  This summer the seventh TMNT movie arrives, this time a computer-animated version called Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem, directed by Jeff Rowe, and co-written by Rowe and Seth Rogen.  This first trailer reveals an interesting look:  It has both a Wes Anderson stop-motion vibe, and has the hip Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse freshness.  The best feature may be the big line-up of supporting characters, or is it the fact that Jackie Chan is voicing Splinter, master and dad to the boys?  The other plus is this is the first movie with actual kids voicing the turtles.

Check out this trailer for Paramount and Nickelodeon’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem:

The mixed, shifting art stylings look great.  Here’s another short feature:

The voice cast includes Paul Rudd, Maya Rudolph, Ice Cube, Giancarlo Esposito, John Cena, Seth Rogen, Ayo Edebiri, and Rose Byrne.

Look for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem only in theaters beginning August 2, 2023.  Then you can probably expect it to show up soon after on Paramount+.
